What it won't do
- Give legal advice or tell you what a clause means.
- Price your work. The numbers are the ones you put in.
- Chase the invoice for you or send it on your behalf.
Templates and calculations only — not legal, financial, safety or professional advice. Check everything against your contract and the law, or get advice, before you rely on it. Footing isn't responsible for how it's used.
Straight answers
What does a tax invoice need in Australia?
The ATO lists what a tax invoice needs, like the words “tax invoice”, your ABN, the date and the GST. The template checks those and flags anything missing.
How do I send it?
Download the PDF, or open the share link and send it yourself. Footing Tools doesn't email your client for you.
Why does the share page warn about bank details?
Footing Tools hasn't verified the business that made the invoice, so the page tells your client to confirm bank details by phone before paying. It protects you both from invoice scams.
Running more than a few jobs?
This makes one invoice. In Footing, invoices come from the job, numbered in sequence, carry a Stripe Pay Now link, and flag themselves when they're overdue. Two-way Xero sync if you use it.
