What can I keep in Files?
Uploads like plans, quotes and safety packs, links to files that live elsewhere, and filed takeoffs. Each file has a category, a folder if you want one, and its version history.
What happens when a new revision comes in?
Upload it as a new version. The old one stays in the history, marked as older, so you can always see what changed. The file keeps its category.
What goes on Activity?
The notes, calls, site visits and meetings you log, emails filed to the project, and the updates Footing records as the job moves. Filed emails can't be changed, edited notes are marked as edited, and nothing on it is deleted.
Does a lead keep its files when I win it?
Yes. Winning a lead creates the client, site and project, and moves the lead's quotes, files and Activity onto the project.
